Inspired by the global community where an increasing number of people are migrating for political or existential reasons as well as influenced by my personal experience of growing up in multiple cultures, I explore the inner dialogues and emotions that can surge as a consequence. Gillian Wearings sculpture “A real Danish Family” from the exhibition “Family Stories” at Statens Museum for Kunst 2017, inspired me and became the starting point for this series.
